Description
The Farvision 20x50S is finest image-stabilized binocular on the market under $5000. This relatively-lightweight binocular (under 3 lbs.) utilizes a mechanical stabilization (no batteries) that is remarkably effective. In fact it has 10 times more dampening than the battery-operated Canon IS. It gives the user a perfectly-stable hand-held high-magnification 20x 3.5° view, even if used on a moving platform, such as a car, boat, or aircraft. Just flick the lever on the bottom to the right to instantly and silently engage stabilization. We used a Snapzoom to attach an iPhone 5S to the Farvision, and made the video below that shows just how effective the stabilization is.
Individual focus, with a very deep depth of field- which means once focused, objects from 50 yards to infinity will be in sharp focus. Apparent field of view is a very wide 70° degrees.
Indispensable for police and military surveillance, hunting, long-distance wildlife observation, or any situation where use of a tripod-mounted binocular is not practical. The $7000+ Zeiss 20x60S is the only image-stabilized binocular that compares to the much more affordable Farvision 20x50S.
