The Oberwerk Sport HD II Series are available in your choice of 8x32mm or 8x42mm. They are based on the original Sport HD Series, but feature ED objectives, which almost completely eliminate chromatic aberration- yet are priced substantially less than our Sport ED Series. The 8×32 is the smallest and lightest of all Oberwerk models. They are perfect for bird-watching, hunting, nautical usage, and sporting events. Don’t worry about getting them wet- they are completely waterproof. Because focusing is internal, the eyepieces are mounted directly to the compact ergonomically-shaped body. This eliminates the fragile ocular support arms—the most vulnerable component of center-focus binoculars. The internal focusers also allow them to focus as close as 8 ft. away!

Oberwerk’s signature broadband multi-coatings are found on every air-to-glass surface (fully multi-coated), and the prisms are phase-coated for highest-possible image quality. The eyecups are continuously adjustable- simply twist to move them in or out.

Heavily rubber-armored metal body, with 1/4-20 tripod adapter threading. Also includes right ocular diopter adjustment, soft rubber ocular cover, captive soft rubber objective covers, rugged nylon case, and our premium heavy-duty denim strap.

1 review for 8×32 Sport HD II

I previously owned the non-ED 8×32 Sport HD and they gave solid service on hiking and kayaking trips. I now have the 8×32 Sport HD II model and after using them for a couple of weeks I can say without reservation that I am very satisfied with the upgrade. The Sport HD II model has a more definite focus “snap” than the non-ED model and the focuser itself is smoother to operate. I have several pairs of binoculars to choose from, but the handy size and light weight of the non-ED model made it my most often used bino. I have no doubt that the Sport HD II will continue to fill that role.
