The BT-70XL-ED is the smallest member of the XL Series family and is the least-expensive ED binocular telescope on the market. With 70mm FK-61 ED objectives, 24mm of clear prism aperture, and a lightweight magnesium alloy body (waterproof and nitrogen-filled), this binocular telescope sets a new standard for image quality AND portability. A binocular of this quality deserves great eyepieces, so we include our finest 1.25″ 70° AFOV 14mm (28x) eyepieces. The ED objectives will deliver chromatic aberration-free views up to 56x magnification (7mm eyepieces). With the widest IPD range of any binocular on the market (50-80mm), even small children can view through both eyepieces.
The handle is actually a Picatinny rail, which can be used to directly mount a wide variety of finders or laser pointers. Not only are the XL Series the highest-quality binocular telescopes at anywhere near their relatively-low prices, they are also quite attractive, with a lustrous “Luna Pearl” White finish featuring red-anodized trim. Our exclusive heavy-duty aluminum-frame case is included.
Every BT-70XL-ED is tested and tuned to perfection prior to shipping, with collimation certified to 98x. 3-year Limited Warranty.
Recommended mounts-
Oberwerk 5000 tripod/head
Oberwerk TR3 hardwood tripod with carbon-fiber elevator and Smallrig DH10 head.

I was amazed by the quality of this binocular telescope. The images are clear and it came tuned to perfection right out of the case. I was pleasantly surprised when I could see the rings on Saturn. The clarity is incredible and it totally surpassed my expectations. I have seen Mars, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn, the orange corn Moon, and watched a falling star all through this great binocular. I definitely recommend this binocular telescope. It is the best of the best!!!

Really amazing viewing, clear and focused. Customers service is equally superior.

Just spent last 2 weeks hunting from sunup to sundown in my BT 70 XL ED binocular and have nothing but positive things to say about them. Great definition, color distinction, sharp to the edge even in not the best light conditions with no eye fatigue. Compare well with much more expensive optics. Extremely satisfied!

Kudos to Oberwerk yet again! I would give 10 stars if I could. I recently received this BT and am thrilled with the quality of the fit, finish, mechanics, and views! Images are as sharp and contrasty as can be, and the color rendition is spectacular. Albireo never looked so good! I was also able to detect color in fainter stars which I had been unable to using one eye in my telescopes. Customer service was fantastic and the shipping was quick!

Got these babies for the conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn….very impressed. For the first time I could see the rings of Saturn, a special moment between man and machine! I have 3 eyepieces up to 40X mag. Lookin out my bedroom window in the evening I can see what on the TV in the Acura dealership 2 miles away! Quality is outstanding, get a good tripod. They also look cool just sitting on my stairs landing as a piece of form following function art!

We bought the first pair of the 70mm 45-degree binoculars over eight years ago. They are the most fantastic grab and go set up we’ve ever owned. The views are superlative. Stars are pinpoint and clear. Doublets well separated. Great for dark sky viewing while camping. Was able to see the green comet with it. My wife and I would highly recommend this set of binoculars to anyone without reservations.
