XL Series Eyepiece Compatibility

We’re sometimes asked about using telescope eyepieces from other manufacturers with our XL Series Binocular Telescopes. Here is a list of the more popular choices, with notes on how “parfocal” they are with the Oberwerk 14mm 70° eyepieces that are included with all XL binoculars. If the 14mm is “0 diopters at infinity”, the difference with other eyepieces is shown in the “Diopter Difference” column in the table below. Most other 1.25″ eyepieces will come to focus at infinity in the XL as it comes, but we can adjust the focus range to better accommodate specific eyepieces. We can also adjust the focus range for those that need vision correction, but would prefer to observe with glasses off. We’ll do that on request, at no extra charge, when we set up and test your new XL binocular.
