I love my Oberwerk binoculars, but the original eyecups were made from poor quality rubber and eventually deteriorated. The replacements were a bit tricky to install, but look to be better quality. Excellent customer service.

Yay, new eye cups! Not much to say here. However, I only have it rated 4 stars because the first set wore out in a very short amount of time. That is the only thing that I find unacceptable about the LW model that I got a few years ago. We’ll see how these hold up a the crease. For now, I’m not even folding them back, I’m too nervous about them breaking up at the fold.

I ordered replacement eye cups for my 9×60 LWs. The original eye cups cracked and could not be folded down after just a few times being used. The replacements arrived quickly and were easy enough to install. Make note of which eye cup is which and the position of the diopter adjustment markers ( – 0 +) so you can properly align the new eye cup and make sure it’s on the correct side. The original eye cups were held on with some kind of sticky white adhesive, but it was still easy to pull the old cups off and slip the new ones on with a bit of stretching and twisting.
