We have some wood components that didn’t meet our high standards for finish quality, so we decided to build some “blem” tripods using this wood, and offer them for a significant discount. Available only in solid maple. Blem parts could have odd grain, staining issues, or other minor imperfections, but are as strong and stable as full-price TR3’s. These are configured with a 3.5″ flat aluminum top with 3/8″ stud, which makes them compatible with most tripod heads and telescope mounts. Ideal for larger binoculars and telescopes weighing up to 40 lbs.
