I have been scanning the skies with my 12×50 binoculars and decided I like idea of visual star gazing with binoculars. Now it was time for an up grade to bigger and better.
I searched the internet and found Oberwerk. I really like that the binoculars were collimated and certified before being sent to the customer. I ordered the Overwork 20×80 Deluxe III
I love these binoculars. I could not believe how the milky way now glows. I can find star clusters I could not see before. The clusters I could just barely see now glow and I can count the stars in them. I cannot wait for clear skies so I can get out and see if there are any new and exciting sights to behold.

I purchased a second quick-release plate to be able to keep one permanently attached to my binocular tripod set up, and a second one to be used as a floater, ie for a second binocular or to attach to a cell phone holder that then attaches to the tripod. At almost half off at this time, it was worth getting an extra one! The plate attaches securely to the binocular mount and holds it firmly in place.
