This adapter is used to mount an iOptron AZ Pro mount to any tripod with a 3/8″ stud- assuming the tripod is capable of supporting the combined weight of the AZ Pro, the binocular or telescope, and any counterweights that may be required. The Manfrotto 161MK2B would be ideal for most situations. Note that the iOptron Star Leveling Knobs with Center Post (as shown) are optional, but required– so be sure to add that if you don’t already have a set.

I’m happy Oberwerk makes this available, I didn’t even know they sold the mount. I’ll be using it on my TR3 Walnut tripod with an Astronomics AT115EDT telescope. It is nice to add this mount to the beautiful walnut TR3.
