25/40×100 Long-Range Observation Binocular, “Classic Edition” with TR3 TripodThe Oberwerk 25/40×100 Long-Range Observation Binocular is a modernized version of our “Classic Edition”, and is optically the very same binocular that we provide to the US Government and UN Security Forces- minus the range-finding reticles. Rotating ocular turrets allow wide-angle viewing at 25x, and high-power viewing at 40x. Apparent field of view is a very wide 67°. True giants, these are two feet in length and weigh over 26 lbs! For decades, this Carl Zeiss-designed binocular was available only to the East German and Chinese militaries, but is now produced in partnership with Oberwerk, using the latest optical technology, for the civilian market. This model is a lustrous “Luna Pearl” White, and is equipped with a 7×50 finder-scope. This is the ultimate binocular for terrestrial observation. If you’ve got a home with a view, enjoy it to the utmost with this magnificent instrument.
Comes complete with our gorgeous American-made TR3 tripod, in a choice of hardwood choices and finish colors. The TR3 tripod can also be custom laser-engraved. I bought this model over 12 years ago and am still amazed at the quality. I had friends in over the weekend and they were very impressed with the clarity. We live in Anchorage and have an exceptional view of the airport, Denali and the Alaska range. The view with the Oberwerk never gets old. There are always things to see and to see exceptionally well. I have owned Celestron and they do not hold a candle to my Oberwerks. If you want to invest in your exceptional view, invest in these. Give yourself the absolute best.
