Works with other front-heavy binoculars as well, except for the Ultra Series.
This mount is compatible with our Deluxe Finder Mount (for mounting a Multi-Reticle Finder).
Bottom is tapped 3/8-16, we include a 1/4-20 reducer sleeve.

Great mount for my Fujinon 16×70 binoculars. Solid, no vibration, holds the binoculars firmly in place. Does what a great accessory should do which is doing its job well and unobtrusively to the point you don’t even realize it’s there and you can enjoy your observing. If you are looking for a solid mount for your binoculars, this is it.

This was just what I was looking for. Its far superior the flimsy cheap plastic one that came with my Barska 15X70 Binoculars and Oberwerk customer service is top notch.

This work great with 15×70 binoculars. Very will built. The picture is exactly what you get. It is very sturdy and holds the binocular steady. This is a great product.

I’m not going to ding this as its very well made, but beware it won’t work for Celestron SkyMaster binocs, at least 15×70 and below. The bit that attaches to the binocular appears to be 3/8 thread, the Celestrons I own are 1/4.

      Hi Jim,
This will work with your Celestron. The mount is designed to replace the brass socket with the 1/4″ threading. If you remove that socket, you’ll be able to use the mount. -Kevin

Couldn’t quite get it to fit my 15×70 oberwerk’s. They seemed a bit loose. Maybe I made a mistake.

I ordered this mount to provide a way of balancing my Fujinon 16X70 binocular on a parallelogram mount. The favorable review by Mark Allen convinced me this is was feasible. I did succeed, but only by using a 3/8″ tap to rethread the (metric?) threaded hole in the end of the mounting rod. This enabled me to screw in a stock 3/8″ to 1/4″ male-male piece with the 1/4″ end screwing into the Fujinon mounting hole. To balance the binocular I also had to remove the outer cylinder that screws over the inner end of the mount rod so I could move the balance point far enough towards the eye-piece end to achieve balance. Everything seems firm enough, and the modification appears successful. Some reviewers stated they had mounting issues with other makes of binocular and this solution may only work for 70 mm Fujnon, or maybe only for some Fujinon models since Mark Allen apparently was able to use the mount without modification.
I also purchased the fluid head 5000 mount which I mounted on the p-mount. It provides much smoother alt-az motions than the p-mount bearings and seems to work well for observing towards the zenith. If anyone has questions about how I mounted the Fujinon 70 mm binocular, they can email me at [email protected].

Great addition to my Celestron Sky Watch 15X70. Easy to install and heavy duty support for the binoculars. Highly recommended.
