The new Oberwerk 25x100mm ED Ultra is the largest and highest-image-quality binocular we offer, short of the XL Series binocular telescopes. Like the XL Series, it has FK-61 ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass objectives, which greatly-minimize chromatic aberration. In fact the view it provides is exactly the same as what you’d see with a BT-100XL-ED with the optional 22mm (25x) eyepieces ($2800). With the Ultra, you can’t change magnification, and it doesn’t have the 45-degree view- but it’s roughly a third of the cost! Of course it has all the features of the other Ultra models, including precise individual focus, robust floating-plate prism mounts, fully broadband multi-coated optics (all air-to-glass surfaces, including prisms), rubber-armored all-metal waterproof construction (nitrogen filled), braced and hinged objective tubes, and built-in mount. This binocular has a wide 2.63° FOV (66° AFOV), with excellent sharpness across the entire field. Includes objective covers, ocular caps, and our exclusive Heavy-Duty aluminum-frame case!

Very pleased with the quality of the binoculars and the views they provide. I have a narrow IPD (61) with average inset facial features and the binoculars fit fine. For my preference the rubber on the eyecups could be softer, but they are not a deal breaker. I find the eye relief to be good, but I don’t wear glasses. The field is flat and colors true; CA has not been noticeable. I use these on a parallelogram mount in a zero gravity chair and absolutely enjoy long viewing sessions. The focus ratio is generous. I find it is easy to focus clearly and quickly. Also the binoculars stay focused well. My old binoculars would go out of focus easily when I put pressure on the eyecups. The Oberwerks hold their focus even under pressure. I highly recommend the 25X100 ED Ultra binoculars.
