The Oberwerk 110XL-SD Tactical Long Range is the modern successor to the legendary 25/40×100 Long Range. Built around the premium optics, interchangeable eyepieces, and rugged construction of the XL Series, it is designed for serious long-distance observation.

Its straight-through viewing angle is naturally suited to terrestrial use, making it an outstanding choice for range spotting, wildlife observation, ships, aircraft, distant landscapes, and homes with expansive views.

PREMIUM SD OPTICS

Large 110mm objectives made with FCD100 and lanthanum glass deliver bright, high-contrast views with exceptional color correction and fine-detail resolution.

Unlike a conventional spotting scope, the 110XL-SD allows you to observe with both eyes, reducing fatigue during extended viewing and providing a more natural, immersive image with enhanced depth perception.

FLEXIBLE MAGNIFICATION

The included 14mm eyepieces provide 45x magnification and a wide 1.6° field of view, equivalent to 28 meters at 1,000 meters.

Optional Oberwerk eyepiece pairs expand the range to:

• 28x with optional 22mm eyepieces
• 45x with the included 14mm eyepieces
• 90x with optional 7mm eyepieces

The standard 1.25-inch eyepiece interface also allows further customization with compatible eyepieces.

BUILT FOR SERIOUS OBSERVATION

The 110XL-SD features precision individual focusers, an integrated Picatinny-rail handle to attach accessories such as the Oberwerk Multi-Reticle Finder, and a tactical gray finish with black trim. Its sealed body is waterproof and nitrogen-filled to prevent internal fogging.

At 17.7 lb., it requires a robust mount and tripod. Recommended mounts include the Manfrotto 608 Nitrotech and Oberwerk 240mm Fork Mount. Recommended tripods include the Oberwerk TR3, Manfrotto 475B, and Manfrotto 161MK2B.

CAPABLE FOR ASTRONOMY

The 110XL-SD is also highly capable for lunar, deep-sky, and wide-field astronomical observing. However, its straight-through design is less comfortable for extended viewing high overhead.

For observers primarily interested in astronomy, or seeking a more balanced terrestrial and astronomical instrument, the 45° 100XL-SD will generally be the better choice.
